Soren has the highest scoring hockey games ever. I don’t get how Jet was able to duck so many social obligations on tour. While I liked that Jet wasn’t tempted by his ex, and also was able to analyze the draw or the past relationship, I didn’t like how peripheral his band mates were to the story. Maybe because it was in flashback, it felt resolved already. I didn’t buy into Jet’s early irritation with Soren. This paragraph is full of the quibbles that kept me from rating it a full five stars. Fated love can be fun and this was, but I keep thinking the plot could have been a bit meatier. I was glad for a book where the guys could be out from the start. All their conflict was pretty much either scheduling or past drama they’d already got over, rehashed briefly for the reader. I was mostly fine with that but would have enjoyed slightly higher stakes, maybe. This was Jet & Soren’s book but read like a series epilogue. It was fun to hang out with the cast and crew of the series.
